After eating at Saigon Dish, my bf and I came to realize that we have been lied to all these years. The vietnamese restaurants we have been eating at in NYC are all unauthentic. We have been eating the westernized versions of vietnamese foods.
The pho & spring rolls we ordered at Saigon Dish was out of this world! The soup broth tasted like real broth someone took time to cook themselves, and it was not watered down. The noodles were excellent, and the sliced beefs were very fresh. The spring rolls were very delicious as well.
We were both so happy to try something new. We tried the bun moc (vermicelli noodle soup made from a pork and shiitake mushroom infused broth). It tasted like heaven! It was the best noodle soup I have ever eaten (besides the ramen I ate in Japan)! We both fell in love with this item that we ordered another bowl to share and then came back another day in the same week to eat it again. Sad to say that the vietnamese restaurants in NYC do not sell bun moc. I guess I will have to visit California soon again!
Excellent authentic foods and great service! Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Highly Recommended!
